At UH VETL we used VR to train people to recognize emotional displays. This is important for soldier peacekeepers who must interact with foreign personnel who don't understand English.

At ODU, we conducted validation and verification (V&V) of a VR-based simulator for phlebotomy (blood draw) and IV catheterization.

This project required participants (medical residents) to insert a simulated chest tube in a CAVE while bombarded with noise and simulated sniper fire.

This is a picture of another V&V project we did in cooperation with Portsmouth Naval Hospital and the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center.

These pictures show a VR based training system for training peacekeeper teams to perform their duties. After development at UH VETL, it was tested at ODU.
