TODAY YOU ARE A FASHION FORECASTER…

Pick a fashion item or look, such as shoes, pants, purses, accessories…
Conduct research on the internet, throughout the local streets, malls, and even your school.
Describe how you think your product may change/adapt in an upcoming season.
Describe what will influence these changes…and why
You may want to look at color trends, fiber and fabric trends, overall design, style and silhouette trends.
You must draw or find pictures to make a poster or “trend map” of what influenced your decision.
Remember, fashion is cyclical and you may find inspiration from many years ago!

Your trend-map project should at least include the following:

  • Overall Concept
  • Color
  • Examples of inspiration for your color and trend choices
  • Fit
  • Target Market
  • Season
  • Details and features
  • Silhouette
  • Your opinion regarding how long the trend will last
  • Pictures or examples of fabrics/textures

*DO NOT just copy a trend from a fashion site!! Think of something different!!*
