Marketing.
Duty/Concept Area: Using the Internet
as a marketing tool in the hospitality industry and as a research tool
in the class.
Task/Competency: Identify how hospitality
businesses use the Internet to market their products, services and their
organization while learning about our
off-site sponsor.
Task Definition: research should
identify all of the brands of Marriott International, Inc., their various
business operations, and the historical events of the corporation and
it’s history.
Student Assignment: Research the
Marriott Corporation through the World Wide Web, identifying the various
brands of Marriott International, Inc., their related organizations/businesses,
and the history of the company.

Internet and the World Wide Web (www).
2. Enter Marriott's website homepage at:
www.Marriott.com
3. This will bring you to the Marriott
home page and from there you will find links to answer the following
questions:

hotels, motels, conference centers, resorts, and timeshares that Marriott
operates and/or is associated with.
2. Locate the Marriott at a Glance@ page,
and read it. Write your own summary of the corporation's history.
