If you were at VAME and are looking for "Pocket lesson plans," try the miscellaneous section. You'll find the competitive events manual in the "DECA in the Classroom" section.
These pages have been used more than 200,000 times at last count, and I'm glad that you're using them! However, YOU need
to keep building it! Please take the time to submit
a lesson - one or two of your favorite - and allow us to post
them here. There are currently approximately 400 lessons here. Just think what would happen if everyone who used one sent one? We'd have thousands for you to share. Please contribute!
Imagine all of the planning time you will save by examining these
pages. Once you send them in I'll post them as quickly as I can,
and you will be credited for the lesson. Below are a few categories,
but don't feel like you are limited to only these. Suggest a category
or start your own. I've provided about 15 lessons of my own to help
get you started.
In submitting
a lesson, it may be as long or as short as you like. It may even
be just the activity that you use in your lesson. Along with your
lesson, please include a ONE LINE descriptive title for the lesson.
This is what will be seen by viewing teachers on this page, and
this line will help them to determine if it is something they want
to examine.
To navigate through the lessons, pick a category on the left (you will see this menu on every page). However, be aware that many of these lessons could have been placed in multiple categories, so you might find just the lesson you are looking for in another category. Don't be shy about searching around.
Again, if you are
utilizing these lessons, please consider contributing one,
as well. It's a small price to pay for so many wonderful lessons!
Send your lesson(s) to mkoslosk@odu.edu.
