WEB TOOLS FOR TEACHERS

As presented at Conclave 2013, below are the links to the sites discussed. Feel free to add your favorites. I'll be happy to add them to this list and credit your contribution. Web Tools

Simple Web Authoring
If you don't already have a Web authoring software, try one of these. They are simple and user friendly. Because there are many others, you might also conduct a Web search for Web authoring tools.

Screen/Video Capture
Allows you to capture videos of the activity on your computer screen. Great for providing self-help files so that you don't have to go over the same things over and over again. Just create them, post them, and direct your students to them.

http://www.dak.com/Reviews/3307Story.cfm ($14.95 one-time. Includes 6 other programs.)

Tests/Quizzes
Each has its own benefits and advantages. Create online quizzes so that the results can be printed, e-mailed, stored, etc.
http://www.proprofs.com/ (VERY Easy, allows students to print results. Also a great source for other related quizzes.)
http://www.response-o-matic.com/ (VERY Easy.  Stores all results online unless purged.  Allows students to upload documents.)
http://www.edmodo.com/ (Establishes timed-tests.)

Scripts
Literally hundreds of scripts for you to copy and paste into your pages. Things like password protecting, slide shows, etc. become easy when someone has already written the script for you.

http://www.doodle.com/ Excellent for quick scheduling to see who is available when.
http://www.signupgenius.com/ Excellent for assigning duties to students, amongst other things.

Presentations
Allows your students to build presentations. Enhances writing (by writing a script), and also focuses on problem solving.
