Welcome! I am a human factors psychologist who works as an associate professor and Ph.D. Programs Director in the psychology department at Old Dominion University. I’m also a musician who sings and plays trumpet and piano. I recently married my wonderful wife, Marie. She is a professional musician who has her own studio. You can find out more about her on her website: http://www.yellowbirdstudios.com/. I also have one child, Marshall. He’s truly the light of my life; you can find out more about him by clicking “About Marshall” on the left menu bar. I’ve been working as a professor since 1993, and have published articles concerning human reactions to alarms and the use of virtual environments to train complex tasks. More information about my research and teaching is available by clicking on the relevant links to the left. In my personal life, I’ve done quite a bit of work concerning genealogy, tracing back my parents’ ancestral lines. Feel free to check that out too, if you’re interested. Thanks for visiting! |
